Baby Bump ~ Week 11

Almost 3 months.
Casey and I received a gift from his cousin Corey and his fiance, Kimberly. It's called "The Belly Book". The book documents belly growth and all the preganacy details and experiences. It is a great memento and we look forward to filling in the information.
I'm feeling pretty rough these days. I'm mostly nauseated at night and I don't have much of an appetite for supper. Finding something I want or can eat is pretty difficult. Sometimes I do feel sick in the morning, or I may even just have an all day "ick" feeling.

Here's Baby Cooper!

The ultrasound picture above shows the baby's heartbeat. Today, my Doctors appointment comfirmed everything is great. The baby has a very healthy heartbeat, arm and leg "pods" starting to form, you can even see the brain. The baby is approximately the size of a large cashew nut. I'm 8 weeks 2 days. It was so amazing to experience the ultrasound today and actually hear the heartbeat of our little baby!
Casey and I are ecstatic!!
After the Doctors appointment we went to spread the good news to our parents and family that we were expecting!

Winter Wonderland

What a beautiful snow! I'm about 8 weeks. Casey made sure I was real careful on the slippery snow! No one knows the news quiet yet...we are waiting until after my doctors appointment to make sure all is good before we tell.

Guess What...

We're expecting...It's hard to believe those two little lines popped up and confirmed I was pregnant. Just this past weekend Casey and I took a spontanious trip down to St. Simon's. It was great! No plans, throw some clothes in a bag, and we were off. The whole time while we were there I had the sneaky suspicion I could be pregnant. I wanted to get a test and take it without Casey knowing. I didn't want to fill him in until I was absolutely certain. I thought it would be great to tell him the news, if any, while we were in St. Simons. After all, Casey told me he loved me for the first time in St. Simons, and I thought it would be perfect for me to tell him something so special there too. Well, we were never apart long enough for me to buy a pregnancy test. So that didn't work out.
I ended up waiting until we were back home on Tuesday, February 3rd to take a test. Sure enough, it was positive. I looked at the two little lines and the word beside-- "PREGNANT"--"Wow, holy crap, oh my gosh, holy crap, wow!" I believe these were the words that came out of my mouth. I was very shocked but also very thrilled!!
When I got home, I wrapped the pregnacy test in a box with brown postal paper, and sat it on the bed. Deliberating how to give it to him and what to say, Casey came into the room with it still sitting on the bed. He said, "What's this?" in hopes the surprise was for him. And boy was it a surprise for him. He opened it thinking it was Bruce Springsteen tickets to a show he had been wanting. As he opened it and looked inside, he said, "Really!?!" with excitement and nervousness in his voice. This was a little sooner than we had anticipated or planned, but I guess God already has his plan for all of us and Casey and I couldn't be happier. What a wonderful blessing!!

St. Simons Feb. 1st.
